Support groups



  • Brain Injury support group, a monthly support group for people with brain injuries, as well as family members and friends.
  • Breast Cancer counseling services, designed to offer support to patients as they adjust to their illness and the impact on their lives, particularly in respect to their relationships.
  • A Breath of Life II COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) Support Group, a free monthly support group for those persons diagnosed with COPD.
  • DBS is a support group for those who have received deep brain stimulation (a treatment option for Parkinson’s Disease symptoms), and those who are interested in the procedure.
  • Friend for Life support network, a free, voluntary association which links specially trained cancer survivors with newly diagnosed cancer patients.
  • Living Beyond, a support group for women with advanced (recurrent or metastatic) breast cancer. 
  • Living Beyond Lymphoma, an ongoing monthly support group for lymphoma survivors and their caregivers.
  • Man to Man-Louisville, offering support and information to men living with prostate cancer. 
  • Stroke Club, a monthly support group for people who have experienced a stroke, as well as family members and friends.
  • Survive and Thrive, an eight-week program offered in March and August to women diagnosed with breast cancer in the previous 18 months.
  • The weight loss surgery support group is held the third Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Education Center at Baptist East.
